Job Description

Dauntless Roofing Systems is seeking an experienced, motivated Roofing Project Manager with Operations and Business Development responsibilities to support the continued growth of our roofing division.

With an extensive pipeline of commercial and residential roofing projects , established client relationships, consistent company-generated opportunities, and dedicated estimating and operational support, this position offers a unique combination of independence and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Roofing Operations & Project Management

• Oversee commercial and residential roofing projects from planning through successful completion.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
• Work in collaboration with our estimating team, suppliers and other company resources to provide competitive pricing.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, quality control, safety compliance, and overall performance.
• Conduct site visits, review project plans, manage change orders, and proactively resolve field challenges.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and communication with clients and internal teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
• Utilize the support of our designated administrative, construction and estimating staff.

Business Development & Growth

• Develop and manage an independent pipeline of roofing opportunities while supporting existing company-generated leads.
• Build and maintain relationships with property owners, general contractors, developers, facility managers, and residential clients.
• Collaborate with our estimating and preconstruction teams on project pursuits, pricing, and proposals.
• Identify opportunities across Dauntless's general contracting, roofing, and demolition divisions.
• Contribute to the strategic growth, profitability, and long-term success of Dauntless Roofing Systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing project management, operations, or business development.
• Strong understanding of commercial and residential roofing systems, installation practices, building codes, and safety standards.

• Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites.

Additional Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong Documentation & Contract Management: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation, including written meeting recaps, daily reports, subcontractor communications, and properly executed change orders. Must understand the importance of obtaining written authorization before proceeding with additional work.
• Commercial Construction Billing Experience: Proficiency with commercial pay applications, including AIA G702/G703 billing forms, schedules of values, retainage tracking, change order management, and coordination with accounting to maintain accurate project financials.
• Florida Roofing Codes & Permitting: Working knowledge of Florida Building Code roofing requirements, local permitting processes, inspections, and manufacturer warranty and final inspection procedures.
• Crew Scheduling & Material Procurement: Experience coordinating roofing crews, subcontractors, material orders, deliveries, and project schedules across multiple active jobs. Experience managing both residential reroofing and commercial roofing projects is strongly preferred.
• Safety Leadership: Commitment to maintaining safe, organized, and compliant job sites. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and roofing-specific safety practices is required. OSHA 30 certification is strongly preferred.
• Proactive Leadership & Client Engagement: We are looking for a motivated, energetic, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys staying busy, takes ownership of responsibilities, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with clients, vendors, and trade partners.
• Financial & Operational Accountability: Ability to monitor project budgets, labor productivity, material costs, subcontractor performance, and profitability while proactively identifying risks and resolving issues before they impact project outcomes.
