Telugu Translator

Role Overview

Help ensure Telugu-language content is accurate, clear, culturally relevant, and consistent across communications, documentation, marketing materials, and localization initiatives. This remote contract role supports high-quality language output through translation, editing, linguistic review, and expert guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and translate content to and from Telugu while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on Telugu-language needs for communications, documentation, and marketing materials.
• Create and maintain Telugu glossaries, style guides, and language best-practice documentation.
• Provide linguistic feedback and consultation for localization work and user-engagement strategies.
• Perform quality checks and linguistic assessments to ensure Telugu content is consistent and correct.
• Support team-member training and onboarding on Telugu language standards and nuances.
• Track Telugu language-usage trends and introduce improvements that strengthen communication effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native written and spoken Telugu proficiency.
• Demonstrated experience in translation, localization, editing, or linguistic review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and cultural awareness of Telugu norms, idioms, and regional differences.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
• Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard office software and language tools.
• Experience in an international or cross-cultural professional setting, familiarity with digital content-creation and editing tools, or a background in linguistics, communications, or a related field is preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.
• Full-time or part-time work options are available.

Compensation

• $20 to $35 per hour.
