About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy to increase the annual fundraising target significantly. This role demands a strategic and growth-oriented leader with a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, including the management of a team of fundraising professionals. The Vice President of Advancement will be a key partner to executive leadership and the Board, a trusted ambassador, and a disciplined operator who leverages data and systems effectively. They will be expected to lead the team in all aspects of philanthropic giving, from major gifts to donor relations, and to ensure a best-in-class donor experience. Candidates for the Vice President of Advancement position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of nonprofit fundraising leadership experience, with at least 7 years' in a management role. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in securing major gifts and scaling revenue growth, as well as experience with CRM systems and a deep understanding of the philanthropy sector. They must be adept at team leadership, talent development, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. The role also requires the ability to operate effectively in a complex, mission-driven, and faith-based environment, and the candidate should be a mission-driven leader grounded in faith-based values.
