Position Overview: Specialty : Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Location : Near Arrington, TN Start Date : ASAP Contract Length : Ongoing Position Type : Locum Tenens Coverage Type : Call Only Key Responsibilities: On-Call Coverage : Provide on-call coverage for a 16-bed inpatient unit, ensuring timely and expert care for obstetric and gynecological emergencies. Handle an average of 2 patients per shift, with the potential for unassigned patient rounding as needed. Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) and MedHost EMR systems for all patient documentation and records management. Patient Care : Address both routine and emergency OB/GYN cases, including labor and delivery, surgical interventions, and postpartum care. Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes. Be prepared to respond to emergencies during allowed holidays, including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Certification and Licensing : Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. A Tennessee medical license is required, with the possibility of reimbursement for licensing costs. Temporary privileges are available for candidates with a clean background, ensuring a swift start. Practice Details: EMR Systems : eCW (eClinicalWorks) and MedHost Certification Requirements : Board Certification : Eligible or Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship : Preferred but not required Licensing Requirements : Must be licensed to practice in Tennessee.
