Material HandlerWe are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization to perform a number of different and important responsibilities in the pre-hanging/pre-finishing operation including material receiving, material & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities.Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locationsMaintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location areaMaintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materialsAssists assigning production areas when not moving materialsEnsure the product and or materials meet quality expectationsSupport area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materialsClean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be paintedService the pre-finish line with needed material components (loading paint carts with frame parts and doors)Assist pre-finish line area with removal of completed product to go to build prep and or stretch-wrap machineStage completed and stretch wrapped door products into shipping staging lanes by loadsLoad trucks with finished door products per direction of Production ManagerResponsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelinesSkills & Abilities:Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)Experience: One to two years related experienceComputer Skills: Experience using computer and handheld scanning gunCertificates & Licenses: OSHA Forklift certificationSpecialty Building Products is the leading distributor of specialty building products in North America.
