Survey Manager

Attends field meetings with clients, government officials,inspectorsand other governing agencies Assistsin the supervision and monitoring of the construction personnelwith regard toplan clarification and problem solving Job Requirements Must be proficient in all aspects of highway construction survey May berequiredto make project decisions affecting the quality control of the survey dataestablishedfor the project Must be capable of self- supervision as may berequiredduring the beginning phases of a project and throughout the project duration Must be well versed with field note reduction, in-depth planinterpretationand highway construction computations Mustpossessmanagement and leadership skills and a detailed working knowledge of standard field and office procedures Mustpossessknowledge of the principles of the profession and various technical standards Must be able to work independently as may berequiredduring pre-construction investigations,constructionand post construction surveys Must be proficient in the use of GPS, Robotic and Roadway CADD software Must have working knowledge of how tooperate, check, and perform basic field adjustments on rods, levels, tri-brachs, total stations, robotic total stations, data collectors, tripods, and GPS equipment The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
