Sr. Java DeveloperOur client, a global Automotive company, located in Austin, TX, is seeking a Sr. Java Developer for a contract to hire position.Job DescriptionThe candidate will be participating in the detailed design, prototyping and implementation of acquired software.QualificationsDemonstrated experience from at least two areas:Microsoft: ASP.NET/VB.NET/C#/VC++/MFC, Microsoft Dynamics, SharepointWeb: Java, HTML, HTML5, Javascript, Python, PHP, CSS3Mainframe: COBOL, Mainframe, IMSFrameworks: Struts, Spring,.NET, Jquery, ExtJSDatabases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PL/SQL Programming, Stored Procedure Development, Performance Tuning, Data warehouses/ETL toolsNoSQL: Hadoop, CasandraWeb Application Servers: WebSphere, WebLogic, TomCat, IISOther: Business Intelligence, Mobile Development, Oracle SOA, SAP, Peoplesoft, Teamcenter/NXDevelopment Environments: Eclipse, Jdeveloper, Visual StudioMajor Standards: AJAX, JSONOS: Linux, UNIX, Android, iOSTools: QC/ALM, Performance Center, QTP, Selenium, Subversion, Rally, Teamforge, Rational suite, Hudson/Jenkins, SonarMethodologies: Agile, Spiral, Waterfall, IterativePreferred Skills and ExperienceAbility to learn new programming languages quickly.Good knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas.Assists the Associate Eng in designing programs and databases.Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and debug software to achieve desired output.Working closely with management team in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.Providing advice, training and technical support for various projects.Experience and ability to teach or instruct co-workers.Ability to understand what code scales well and what does notAbility to document what needs to be doneAbility to document what you have done.Education and TrainingBachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required.Experience: Typical: 3-5 years in the business environmentAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
