Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work in an elementary school serving students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. You’ll play an essential role in providing a full range of speech services to a caseload of approximately 60 students of varying needs, from general education support to moderate/severe challenges.

Key Qualifications:

• Active SLPA credential required
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Comfort serving diverse student needs, including mild to severe speech/language disorders
• Experience conducting direct therapy, supporting IEPs, and participating in assessments/evaluations
• Adaptability and collaboration skills; able to connect well with multidisciplinary teams and young learners
• California CTC credential preferred, but not required

Primary Duties:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary-age students (TK-5th grade)
• Work collaboratively with supervising SLPs and teachers to implement IEP-related goals
• Maintain thorough progress records and documentation
• Assist with speech/language assessments and observe students in classroom settings
• Participate in IEP meetings, sharing observations and data with the team
• Communicate with families and caregivers regarding progress as needed

This assignment is based at an elementary school in a district serving 3,650 students across multiple Rosamond sites. The role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) during the 2026-2027 school year, beginning in August and ending in early June.
