You will serve as a Training Instructor in the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) of INFOWARTRACMD VIRGINIA BEACH VA.

Duties

Help

• You will evaluate, counsel, and remediate student performance on a continuing basis, to include administering tests and preparing training for students.
• You will test students to determine satisfactory/unsatisfactory progress in attaining specific objectives relating to information technology network education.
• You will assist in the maintenance of the curriculum master course control documents for assigned courses, provide subject matter expertise for curriculum development, and revise lesson plans.
• You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance as required for training records.
• You will provide training for various subjects, to include: Information Systems Security, Sub-netting, Intro to Operating Systems (CCNA, UNIX/LINX, Windows, and DOS), understanding basic network infrastructure, and other IT related courses.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 712 - Cyber Instructor, proficiency level Intermediate. You are required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Individual Occupational Requirements (IORs):

Specialized Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:

• Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
• Supervising or administering a training program.
• Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
• Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.

In addition to meeting the IORs, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Delivering highly technical training in a classroom or laboratory environment and evaluating student performance; 2) Developing test instruments and assisting with the configuration management of curriculum materials; 3) Managing and securing network infrastructure to include: conducting vulnerability scanning and assessments, configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, and implementing intrusion detection/prevention systems; 4) Operating, troubleshooting, and restoring external communication suites for Radio Frequency (RF) communications and Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), or for highly comparable tactical data network systems.
