Global Director, Environmental Health & Safety
Intuitive Surgical
Intuitive Surgical seeks a Global Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead enterprise-wide EHS strategy, governance, and programs across global operations. This strategic leader will report to senior management, drive safety culture and regulatory compliance, and mentor a distributed team of EHS professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global EHS strategy aligned with corporate objectives and sustainability commitments
- Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global EHS programs and management systems
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Establish performance metrics and drive data-driven continuous improvement across all locations
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing global team of EHS professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 12+ years progressive EHS leadership in manufacturing, medical device, or regulated industries
- Demonstrated success leading global or multi-site EHS organizations and enterprise-wide strategies
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent
- Deep expertise in occupational health, industrial safety, environmental compliance, and risk management
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and international EHS regulations
- Executive presence with ability to influence across organizational levels and build stakeholder trust
