Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities Gather requirements from different departments/scientific teams and analyze them under close supervision and direction from our Engineering Manager to design/update operating and maintenance processes/systems & controls for technologically advanced and sophisticated pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment so as to meet quality standards and to obtain optimal production yield; Work closely under the direction of Engineering Manager and follow engineering principles/instructions to draft plans/designs for equipment placement, custom equipment or existing equipment modifications to improve efficiency, reduce costs and eliminate production wastage; Follow guidelines and draft/develop proposals for process improvements/modifications, equipment calibrations, design modifications, maintenance solutions etc. for engineering manager’s review, correction and approval; Review technical data as assigned from operational/maintenance logs for advanced equipment/lab instruments/logistics/packaging machinery, troubleshoot any malfunction/inefficiencies under manager’s guidance and prepare reports routinely for manager’s review; Consult with vendors and follow training guidelines/instructions/directions from engineering manager to develop custom solutions & prepare drafts of custom layout drawings for advanced equipment, sophisticated machinery, site master file layouts, HVAC, piping etc.; Follow regulations as instructed and prepare IQ, OQ and PQ protocols/reports for new equipment as per cGMP requirements – will be closely monitored by manager who will review, correct and approve protocols/reports; Follow guidance/instructions from engineering manager and install and regularly update advanced software on all our sophisticated equipment regularly; Research the market for new engineering related processes/techniques being implemented in the pharma industry and prepare reports for his manager’s review and consideration; Approximately 85% of the time will be spent in analyzing requirements, studying applicable regulations/guidelines/industry practices and designing/developing custom facility layout plans/solutions for advanced/sophisticated machinery including assisting in developing processes/methods, maintenance solutions etc. – all under the close supervision and guidance from our Engineering Manager. Approximately 15% of the time will be spent in interacting with various engineers/consultants/vendors/software engineers etc. to identify new technology and equipment and to assist engineering team to custom tailor it for petitioner’s facility and operations; Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required in Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management or Mechanical Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr ScieGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.,
