Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) who will be responsible for managing Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities in the Naval Power Mission Area in support of the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) development portfolio. This MPM will serve as the interface between Supply Chain and Program working on development contracts. Key responsibilities include the following: developing and implementing material strategies, material forecasting, ensuring cost and schedule requirements are met, evaluating metrics to monitor GSCM health, supplier assessments, and development/support of ROMs/proposals.What You Will Do:Drive processes to successful completion in support of a very aggressive schedule of deliveriesIncrease operational efficiencies to ensure business area and program successOperate independently, yet readily recognize and escalate when assistance is requiredProcess strategic and tactical tasksInfluence team decisions and outcomes of other program leadersWork in a cross-functional team-oriented environment (quality, engineering, operations etc.)Manage multiple conflicting priorities with supplier managersProcess information from multiple sources to achieve a successful outcomeQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and 2 years prior relevant experience.Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teamsMaterial forecasting experienceQualifications We Prefer:EVMS certificationExperience managing suppliers or projectsLead program management efforts, address issues, and resolve conflictsFinancial knowledge, the mechanics of strong supplier negotiations, and how to influence an acceptance in execution of cost reduction opportunitiesExperience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Projects)What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
