Coldwater, MI Occupational Medicine NP/PA Locum Tenens Opportunity

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a focused Occupational Medicine assignment in Coldwater, Michigan , beginning October 5, 2026 .

This is a weekday opportunity offering a manageable up to 16 patients per day while maintaining a substantive, hands-on clinical scope. The APP will evaluate and treat workplace injuries, manage musculoskeletal conditions, perform procedures, and guide workers through treatment and return-to-work.

Clinical Scope

This is more than a physicals-focused occupational health assignment. The APP will provide direct clinical management of workplace injuries and illnesses from initial evaluation through treatment and return-to-work planning.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
• Manage workers' compensation cases
• Develop treatment plans
• Determine work restrictions and return-to-work status
• Manage musculoskeletal injuries
• Order and interpret labs and imaging
• Perform joint, tendon and bursa aspirations and injections
• Perform splinting and immobilization
• Perform suturing, stapling and removal
• Administer vaccinations, including tetanus
• Interpret pulmonary function testing
• Perform DOT physicals
• Coordinate physical therapy referrals
• Medication management

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8A–4:30P
• October 5 through November 20
• Consistent weekday coverage throughout the assignment

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Michigan license in hand
• DOT/FMCSA certification
• 2+ years of relevant clinical experience preferred
• Strong musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills
• Comfortable performing the procedures required for occupational injury care
