Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

Description This contract position is on-site, offering a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality medical care within a fast-paced environment, making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our community. In this role, you will be integral to the Emergency Medicine department, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide immediate and effective care to patients in critical situations. Your expertise will be crucial in managing various medical emergencies and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities Provide immediate care to patients in emergency situations Diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions and injuries Ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers Adhere to hospital protocols and policies Participate in continuous medical education and training Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency care practices Engage with patients and their families, providing support and information Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Emergency Medicine At least 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and best practices Valid medical license to practice in the state Schedule: 6a-6p, 6p-6a No required call shifts Daily Census: 45 patients Procedures: Intubations, central line placement, Ultrasound utilization, OB delivery, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, laceration repair Will see high acuity patients Support Staff: APPs Must be board-certified ACLS & BLS certifications required Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr
