Services may include: preventive care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, health education, prescribing of medication, ordering and interpreting lab testing or imaging, order and action referrals based on patient need, physical examinations, screening examinations, family planning, and other services within the scope of training. Supervise and collaborate with PA/NP and/or students as required.Essential Job FunctionsProvide primary care and ambulatory outpatient care to clinic patients in person by interviewing, examining, and treating clinic patients; documenting, and completing notes and inbox items while maintaining confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulationsAssist in resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patientsParticipate in providing direction or training to clinic staff to increase staff awareness and to facilitate patient careParticipate in the development of clinic protocols and procedures to ensure quality medical care; comply with clinic policies and proceduresParticipate in quality assurance, quality improvement and utilization review; and peer review programs which evaluates the quality of the medical staff and medical services being performed at the clinicsProvide supervision and consultation to physician assistants and nurse practitioners in person or via telephone or virtual meansAttend and actively participate in internal and external meetings to expand and to improve patient servicesSupport the vision, mission and goals, and demonstrate a commitment to the values of the organizationPerform other duties as directedQualificationsMinimum QualificationsCurrent Medical License (MD or DO) in state of California; board eligible or certifiedCurrent DEA licenseCPR Certification (including BLS Child, Infant, Adult with one-time hands-on skills training)Preferred QualificationsBilingual English/SpanishRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesKnowledge of community health centers, and public assistance programs, state and federal regulations and managed care systemsExcellent verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, clinicians and other staffAbility to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner, including people of all social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and within the constraints of government funded programsAbility and willingness to meet the organization's attendance and dress code policiesAbility and willingness to abide by organization's policies related to documentation, workflows and patient care guidelinesMeet productivity and quality standards as defined by the organizationAbility to handle confidential materials and information in a professional mannerExcellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionExperience/familiarity with computers, business e-mail, communication systems and internet search capabilities; proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and ExcelAbility to utilize electronic health recordSalary $310,000 - $320,000 - based on a fulltime salary
