BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Morton Plant North Bay Recovery Center Behavioral Health !

Mental Health Technician Position Details:

Facility: Morton Plant North Bay Recovery Center Behavioral Health
Location: Lutz, FL
Status: Full time, Hourly
Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Weekend Work: Every Other
On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

Required Certification/Licensures:

BLS (Basic Life Support)
CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
Patient Care Technician - preferred

Required Education:

High School or Equivalent
Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred

Required Experience:

6 months - Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
