Role Description The Computer Aided Design Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Mesa, AZ. This position is responsible for creating detailed CAD models and drawings for custom reusable shipping cases and foam inserts, ensuring accurate dimensions and specifications for manufacturing and assembly. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting customer requirements, collaborating with sales and production teams, preparing technical and engineering drawings, and revising designs based on feedback or design changes. The Drafter will maintain organized project files, adhere to company design standards, and support continuous improvement in design processes and product quality. The role may also involve occasional communication with clients to clarify technical requirements and ensure designs meet functional and regulatory needs. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating precise 2D and 3D models. Candidates should possess skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings for accurate manufacturing documentation. Candidates should possess skills in Drawing and Architectural Drawings for layout design and visualization. Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and basic knowledge of design for manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
