Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.


Hourly Rate: $15.16 + Service Charge


Position Overview: Events Servers are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station setup, and beverage and bar service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers and fellowemployees.
  
  
• Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  
  
• Know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
  
  
• Serve guests according to the hotel's standards in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  
  
• Serve as a banquet bartender as scheduled, including setup, service, breakdown, and adherence to all responsible alcohol service procedures.
  
  
• Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents. Communicate to management, if necessary.
  
  
• Set all tables according to hotel standards.
  
  
• Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate suppliesnecessary for food service functions.
  
  
• Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies arestored and re-stocked properly.
  
  
• Prepare room according to BEO and the various meal functions.
  
  
• Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
  
  
• Know and use "suggestive selling" techniques.
  
  
• Know the menu items for each function served and able to give accurate descriptions.
  
  
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  
  

Qualifications:

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
• Previous Events/Banquet server experience required
• Previous Bartending experience, including beer, wine, and cocktail service in a banquet, catering, or full-service hotel environment required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
• Must have open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
