Tax Manager

Location: Gulf Breeze, FL (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates.

• Manage tax engagements from start to finish, including tax research, projections, planning, compliance, consulting, and financial statement preparation.

• Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff while reviewing and evaluating their work.

• Prepare professional correspondence and responses for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients while gaining a thorough understanding of their businesses and tax needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; Accounting preferred.

• At least 3 years of recent public accounting tax experience , with increasing responsibility and significant supervisory experience.

• CPA certification preferred , but not required.

• Hands-on experience preparing tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates .

• Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax regulations, with the ability to stay current on changes in tax laws and industry trends.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and professional tax software; experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx is a plus.

• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees at all levels.
