Purchasing Manager – Precast Concrete Manufacturing
Location: Hamilton, NJ (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team in a fast-paced precast concrete manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing purchasing activities, vendor relationships, inventory control, and warehouse operations to ensure materials are available on time to support production.

The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations within a manufacturing or construction-related environment. Precast concrete experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities, including ordering, vendor communication, and material availability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and material usage trends.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
• Organize and manage warehouse storage areas for efficient material handling.
• Prepare material kits based on production schedules and bills of materials (BOM).
• Coordinate shipments for outside processing services, including galvanizing and machining.
• Maintain documentation for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Conduct cycle counts and support annual inventory audits.
• Ensure warehouse operations follow OSHA and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CIM, Engineering, or technical background is a plus.
• 3–5 years of purchasing and warehouse management experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Precast concrete manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Titan® software is preferred.
• Ability to analyze technical product data and Material Test Reports (MTRs).
• Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
