This cancer center operates within a large hospital, providing specialized hematology and oncology services across inpatient and clinic settings. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and coordinated care workflows to support quality oncologic care delivery on a locum tenens basis. A dedicated support team consisting of 3 additional hematologist/oncologists, one nurse practitioner per physician, and registered nurses is in place to assist clinicians throughout the assignment.

Outdoor recreation, dining, and year-round activities are readily accessible, and the region provides a mix of urban and natural attractions to enjoy during time away from the assignment.

The hematologist/oncologist will provide on-site inpatient and clinic hematology and oncology coverage on a day shift schedule, managing 9-12 patients per day with 2 new clinic consults daily. Call coverage is required at a 1:3 ratio throughout all designated coverage periods. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the Epic EMR system for patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Medical Oncology and an active state medical license are required for this assignment.
