Assistant General Manager

Sound + Fury Brewing is a brewery, bar, restaurant and event space, located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. We are currently looking for a Assistant General Manager to join our amazing team and help take us to the new heights we are aiming to achieve.

Duties:

Leadership & Team Development

• Train, mentor, and oversee team members across guest service, POS systems, food safety, alcohol service, and standard operating procedures.
• Drive hospitality standards by resolving guest concerns promptly and leveraging feedback to refine service.
• Manage floor and bar setups, delegating tasks effectively to ensure optimal operational flow.
• Provide weekly executive updates, resolve cross-departmental service issues, and participate in ongoing leadership development.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and product education to maintain service quality and drive profitability.

Operations & Compliance

• Direct daily floor and bar operations to maintain high efficiency and organizational standards.
• Manage inventory and purchasing for alcohol, ingredients, supplies, and disposables to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations, as well as company safety and workplace policies.

Product & Menu Development

• Maintain quality control standards for all in-house food and beverage offerings.

Workplace Environment

• Oversee cleaning, organization, and maintenance schedules across all work and storage areas.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years minimum experience.
• Excellent communication skills and an organized approach to achieving team goals
• A passion for customer service and the leadership skills to help lead a team during service
• An eye for detail
• Bartending experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Desire to learn and grow with a high quality team

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $67,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year
