Financial Aid Advisor

Our client is seeking a motivated Financial Aid Advisor to join their team. About the Opportunity Our client, a mission-driven, not-for-profit institution with 12 ground campuses, an online division, and more than 12,000 students, is looking for a Financial Aid Advisor to support students at its upcoming Dallas, TX campus (targeted to open Fall 2026). The Financial Aid Advisor serves as a trusted guide for students navigating the financial aid process, working closely with the Financial Aid leadership team to ensure a smooth, supportive experience from enrollment through graduation. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for students regarding financial aid options, including loans, grants, scholarships, and payment plans Explain complex financial aid policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations in clear, easy-to-understand terms Maintain positive, engaging conversations with students who may be anxious about financing their education Process and review financial aid applications and documentation, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements Accurately track cases, maintain student records, and document interactions within CRM/information systems Collaborate with admissions, academics, and other departments to support student success Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing process improvements Other financial aid-related tasks as assigned Qualifications Prior experience in financial aid, customer service, call center, or another student- or client-facing role preferred Demonstrated ability to explain complicated processes to people who are confused or frustrated, while keeping conversations positive and engaging Experience using databases, CRMs, or information systems to track cases, maintain records, and support customers or students Professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple student cases simultaneously Ethical, patient, and empathetic work style with a high level of professionalism expected Education Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered #J-18808-Ljbffr
