Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Maintain clear, concise, and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements
• Actively engage in professional development and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Texas
• Experience in general orthopedic physical therapy
• Ability to complete documentation and goal writing in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
