Division: Brannan Sand + Gravel

Position: Water Truck Driver

Reports To: Scheduling Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time

Location: Lipan Plant - 5880 Lipan St - Denver, CO 80216

Hourly Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00/hour

Sign-on Bonus: $1,500.00

Position Summary:

This position requires a Class-A or B CDL driver with tankers to haul water to and from our facilities to various jobsites and plants around the metro area to spray the grounds for dust control. The ideal candidate will be safety orientated and have a professional demeanor.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Safe Driving Habits. Responsible for safely hauling asphalt and aggregate material from/to Brannan's jobsites and facilities.

- Utilizes defensive driving practices

- Adheres to company policies for Personal Protective Equipment

- Maintains an alert awareness of potential jobsite or plant hazards

• Efficient Delivery Practices. Drivers maintain a sense of urgency throughout the day to deliver products safely and efficiently. The driver is always ready to load at scheduled time, prepared to back to the paver on the jobsite, and alerts fellow drivers of accidents enroute to jobs.
• Truck Operations & Maintenance. Properly maintains equipment by conducting the proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections and mechanical write-ups. Properly operates the truck and other types of equipment according to the manufacturer's recommended guidelines.
• Customer Service. Maintains a positive attitude in all interactions with customers. Anticipates and fulfills all customer needs possible, alerting management to potential customer concerns.
• Professional Appearance. Maintains trucks in a consistently clean condition. The cab is always clean and well-ordered, and the exterior appearance of the truck is maintained each day.

General Responsibilities:

• Safety. Operates truck in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Administrative. Following required Brannan and DOT reporting procedures. All paperwork should be kept current during the day including timecards with job information and DVIR books. Drivers are responsible to make sure the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance, as well as keeping their personal CDL and medical cards current.
• Procedures. Abides by Brannan's Standard Operation Procedures.
• Consistent Attendance. Reports for work at the scheduled time and place.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A/B Commercial Driver's License
• Clean MVR
• Current DOT Medical Card
• At least 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience
• Must have Tanker Endorsement.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Pushing up to 90 pounds for 5 feet
• Pulling up to 150 pounds for 5 feet
• Lifting to 20 pounds to waist
• Carrying up to 20 pounds for 30 feet
• Ability to step up 2 steps into and out of truck
• Must have the ability to work nights and weekends
