Overview:
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is seeking energetic, safety-minded individuals to join our team as Terrain Park Attendants. Terrain Park Attendants help maintain a safe, fun, and well-maintained park environment for skiers and riders of all ability levels. This role includes monitoring features, assisting guests, maintaining signage, and supporting the daily operations of the terrain park.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain, and rake terrain park features throughout the day to ensure they are safe and properly shaped.
Set up and maintain park signage, markers, and closures according to safety standards.
Monitor guest behavior and promote responsible use of park features.
Assist injured guests and communicate promptly with Ski Patrol when needed.
Provide friendly and informative guest service, helping riders understand feature difficulty and park etiquette.
Report hazards, damaged features, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
Support Terrain Park Crew with setup, teardown, fencing, and general park maintenance.
Help document park condition reports and track maintenance needs.
Maintain a clean and organized park environment, including trash pick-up and snow surface upkeep.
Qualifications:
Strong skiing or snowboarding skills with confidence riding terrain park features.
Understanding of freestyle terrain, safety protocols, and park etiquette.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Physically capable of raking, shoveling, lifting, and working outdoors in all winter conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous terrain park, resort operations, or freestyle experience preferred but not required (training provided).
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Seasonal position with full-time and part-time opportunities.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating days.
