Job Summary:

We are looking for dedicated Apheresis / Blood Services RN in Bethesda, MD with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records.

Duties:

• Perform nursing assessments
• Perform apheresis procedures including therapeutic plasma exchange, red blood cell exchange, leukapheresis, and collection procedures.
• Assess, monitor, and provide direct patient care before, during, and after apheresis procedures, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Manage vascular access and apheresis equipment, ensuring safe operation, appropriate access care, and adherence to infection-control standards.
• Administer medications and blood products as ordered, monitoring for adverse reactions and complications.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and ensure safe, effective patient care.

Job Requirements:

• Current and unrestricted RN License – Any state license accepted
• Minimum 1 year direct patient care experience in blood services in the past 3 years
• BLS – American Heart Association
• ACLS – American Heart Assoication
