Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a Level 2 NICU/Nursery setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–3 babies
• Manage common neonatal diagnoses including hypoglycemia, mild respiratory distress, phototherapy, IV antibiotic administration, and care of pre-term infants learning to bottle feed and gain weight
• Attend C-sections and vaginal deliveries in a baby-focused capacity as part of the NICU RN role
• May be asked to care for stable postpartum mothers and babies; training will be provided for candidates without prior maternal care experience
• Adhere to a leadership-generated 6-week schedule; expected to remain flexible to help fill gaps in permanent staffing — all time-off requests must be submitted prior to assignment start
• May be floated to a sister facility approximately 26 miles away based on census or staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Must be available and present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for postpartum mothers and babies is a plus, though not required
• Familiarity with LDRP care models and charge RN responsibilities
