CT Tech - Nights 12 Hours

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, specifically 3 days on and 12 hours each day.

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures. The role requires setting up, monitoring, and operating complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor computer operation of C.T. equipment for each patient, ensuring safety and proper lifting techniques.
• Identify patients appropriately and document relevant medical history, including known allergies.
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as per protocol established by the Radiologist.
• Make and develop images for permanent patient files and record studies for future reference.
• Organize daily patient schedules in collaboration with work-room technicians.
• Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment following department guidelines.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and handle emergency medical situations, including basic CPR.
• Instruct new personnel as required and assist Radiologists with specialized radiological procedures.
• Participate in departmental quality assessments and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of CT experience is required.
• Experience with Phillips CT equipment is required.
• Traveler experience is preferred.
• BLS and ARRT certifications are mandatory.
• Michigan license verification is required for travel roles.
