About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must possess BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The unit has a total of 25 beds. There are over 40 staff members working on the unit. On day shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 1 unlicensed caregiver, 3 patient care technicians, and 5 registered nurses. On night shift, there are 5 registered nurses and 1 patient care technician. The typical patient ratio is 6:1, sometimes 5:1. The equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps. The electronic medical records system in use is Meditech. It is preferred that applicants have experience in managing chest tubes. It is preferred that applicants can manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips. It is preferred that applicants are capable of managing weight-based heparin drips. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs. Additional information may include new equipment or technology available in the unit. Tenure and experience of staff may also be highlighted.
