Responsibilities Conduct daily patient care activities including activities of daily living and comfort measures. Perform complete or partial bath. Collect data: obtain weights, temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure measurements, including orthostatic parameters as appropriate. Perform non-sterile treatments: apply cold compresses. Perform specimen collection/procedures: perform phlebotomy (depending upon area of assignment). Use effective interpersonal skills in all interactions, demonstrating respect for the other person. Maintain active involvement in all educational activities related to the role, attending all mandatory in-services. Perform other responsibilities as requested by the Patient Care Manager, remaining flexible with time as assignment changes to meet unit needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must be a CNA or complete certification prior to completion of orientation or have completed one clinical nursing school rotation and currently enrolled in a nursing program.
