Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is located in Alton, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care on a step-down unit for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, including stroke, cardiac issues, overdose, and multisystem organ failure. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), valid license in Missouri (MO) or Illinois (IL) with IL license in hand at time of submittal, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or similar setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit specialization includes ventilator management, arterial line management, chest tube procedures, BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, emergency medications, and stroke management.
  • Candidates must be able to work holidays and weekends as required.
  • This position accepts first-time travelers.
  • No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted, with exemptions for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants.
  • The scheduled shift hours are 12-hour nights with at least 36 hours per week.
  • Applicants should be prepared to float within the service line.
