About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active Compact License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills Critical drip experience 2 years PCU experience Description: Traveling RN position in the Progressive Care Unit. Requires 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Must possess an active Compact License at the time of application. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Team consists of 5 Registered Nurses and 2 Licensed Nursing Assistants. Patient ratios are 4:1. Utilizes GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps. Electronic medical record system used is Expanse. Candidates should be self-directed, confident, and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations. Strong communication skills and a team player mentality are essential. Experience with pre-post cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patient care is preferred. Floating to Med Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department may be required based on staffing needs. Every other weekend coverage is expected or equivalent if staffing needs necessitate. Dress code is professional scrubs with no required color. Unit policies and guidelines will be discussed during the interview.
