**Key Responsibilities:**

- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in a courteous and professional manner.
- Operate cash registers and other equipment efficiently to process sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that checkout lanes are tidy and free from clutter.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage exchanges and returns according to established company policies, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Count cash in register at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate balances.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or unusual activities to management.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance the customer experience.
- Assist in stocking shelves and performing light cleaning duties as required.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with handling cash and electronic payments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights if necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
