Carilion Clinic is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Gastroenterologist to join its established and growing Section of Gastroenterology in Roanoke, Virginia. This faculty position offers the opportunity to provide advanced interventional care, teach the next generation of clinicians, and contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing, collaborative academic program. The role is based at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed tertiary referral center and Level 1 Trauma Center. Practice Info Based at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 763-bed tertiary referral center and Level 1 Trauma Center Robust support from interventional radiology, pathology, and surgery programs Strong internal employed referral network with a large department of Family Medicine with 300 clinicians Section of Gastroenterology includes a team of experienced gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers Responsibilities Provide advanced interventional care Teach the next generation of clinicians Contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing, collaborative academic program Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology, advanced endoscopy (ERCP, EUS, and related procedures), and consultation services Hold an Academic Appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Teach medical students, residents (72 internal medicine residents), and GI fellows and APPs Supervise our 4th-year Interventional GI Fellow Compensation Min Starting Salary: $570,000 Max Starting Salary: $776,111 Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary Benefits Comprehensive benefits and pension offerings Relocation Paid CME Comprehensive benefits package to include an employer funded pension plan Shift & Schedule Call Coverage: 1:3 Requirements Board Certification in Gastroenterology Completion of an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Demonstrated commitment to teaching and collaborative, team-based care Interest in a clinically busy academic practice with potential for scholarly contributions J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available
