Job Summary The Teledyne FLIR Bozeman operation is a leading manufacturer of laser systems. Our products are vital components in defense, high‑end commercial, and commercial industries. We seek a highly organized and motivated Buyer to join the Materials department. The Buyer will purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Source components with approved suppliers for production Work with suppliers on scheduling to support production requirements Generate purchase orders and requisitions for open requirements Work with suppliers to meet on‑time delivery, quality and cost objectives Provide analysis of costing against cost targets Perform cost reduction activities to maintain budgets and/or reduce costs Prepare reports and updates as needed Resolve shipment and invoice discrepancies Ensure accuracy of data in SAP and data entry as required Job Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of relevant experience in a buyer, planner or procurement/materials sourcing role preferred SAP experience preferred Knowledge of sourcing precision machined parts a plus Problem‑solving skills related to sourcing issues to support production requirements Strong time‑management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong organizational skills Self‑motivated; able to work independently and within a team Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills when dealing professionally with people Equal Opportunity Statement Teledyne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
