Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerOdessa, Texas, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$3,055.52/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring TX or compact RN license and critical care experience.DetailsSupport a newly opened PCU while also caring for anticipated ICU patientsCare for MS/Tele, PCU, and/or critical care patients with floating to these areas during low censusMS/Tele patient ratio of 6:1; Critical Care ratio of 2:1Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00Cerner charting system experience preferredRequirementsActive TX or compact RN license requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredTCAR/TNCC certification required, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of startMinimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience requiredPrior travel nursing experience requiredTeaching hospital experience preferredTrauma Level II experience preferredExperience with critical care skills including arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac dripsExperience with neurological care including EVD, intracranial bleeds, lumbar drains, and post-TPA care preferredExperience with cardiovascular procedures such as TAVR, pacemakers, and post-cardiac surgery careAdditional InformationProvide direct patient care across ICU, PCU, and MS/Tele units as census requiresFacility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive resultsCandidates should avoid CBD or related products prior to arrival due to strict drug screening policyMust reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not acceptedTwo supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
