Physical Therapist (Full time) Jefferson Bucks/Torresdale campuses

Job Overview The Physical Therapist I is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. The role is an integral healthcare provider accountable for assisting patients to achieve the highest level of physical, cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing function. The Physical Therapist I will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health and work in conjunction with other health care professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care. Job Duties Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings as appropriate. Participate in student education, including part‑time and full‑time teaching commensurate with novice clinician level. Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs that facilitate client recovery and rehabilitation. Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families. Record and document clients’ health progress information for evaluation, all therapeutic interventions including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries. Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff consistently with the values of Jefferson Health. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program. Less than 1 year (0–2 years) of clinical practice required. Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Pennsylvania. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. Physical Demands Lift and carry 40–50 lbs. (Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher; requires 29 lbs. push force; lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient’s weight). Frequent to continuous standing/walking; patient transporters may walk 8–10 miles per shift. May include kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR as required.
