Oversees production across sub-assembly, final assembly, and packaging processes, ensuring alignment of people, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals. Drives operational performance through leadership, process discipline, workforce management, and continuous improvement.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead daily assembly operations, ensuring execution of production plans to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.Coordinate workflow across sub-assembly, final assembly, and packaging work cells to maintain throughput and on-time delivery.Ensure operational readiness, including materials, tools, fixtures, staffing, and process capability.Monitor and drive performance through KPIs (such as; safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and attendance); communicate results and take corrective action.Identify and resolve operational issues related to workflow, materials, quality, staffing, and equipment; escalate systemic issues as needed.Lead, coach, and develop team members, support performance management, training, onboarding, and employee engagement.Manage workforce administration, including timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling to meet production requirements.Partner cross-functionally and with HR to address employee relations, staffing needs, and operational challenges.Ensure adherence to standard work, quality requirements, safety practices, and regulatory standards.Drive continuous improvement using lean principles, support cost control, waste reduction, and process efficiency.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, assembly processes, and production workflows.In-depth knowledge of material flow, work cell coordination, and production execution.Working knowledge of ERP, MES, and shop-floor systems.Working knowledge of safety practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Proven ability to lead teams and drive accountability in a fast-paced production environment.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ability to analyze performance data and drive corrective actions.Proficiency in standard computer and business systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a multi-shift environment.Education and Experience3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.Experience in assembly, final assembly, or related production processes preferred.Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting multi-cell or complex assembly operations.Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or related discipline.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift.
