Attorney
Distinct | North America
There’s a difference between being given more work and being given more responsibility. This is the latter. You’ll handle complex insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, take ownership of your files, run depositions and have a genuine say in strategy. The idea is to develop into the attorney clients ask for, not simply the attorney who gets given the next file. There’s flexibility over where you work, sensible expectations and experienced lawyers around you who actually have the time and inclination to help you develop. They’re looking for an attorney with 3 to 6 years of insurance defense or insurance coverage litigation experience. It’s a national platform with over 2,000 attorneys, so you get the resources and quality of work that come with scale. But good attorneys still get noticed, trusted and given room to build something long term. If you’re getting plenty of work where you are, but not necessarily enough opportunity, this might be worth exploring. Here’s the bit worth remembering: you don’t need to be actively looking to have a conversation. Maybe there’s something better out there for you. Maybe there isn’t. Worst case, we have a confidential chat and you decide staying put is the right move. That’s a perfectly good outcome too. So I’m around early mornings from 6am PST and at weekends too. And if speaking to a recruiter isn’t normally high on your list of enjoyable activities, I understand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
