Location: Philipsburg, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time (minimum 30 hours)
Schedule: Monday–Friday

We are seeking a caring, organized, and experienced Daycare Director to lead our childcare center and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the daycare center
• Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing requirements
• Hire, train, supervise, and support teaching staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Manage enrollment, staffing, schedules, and center records
• Support curriculum planning and quality educational programming
• Communicate effectively with families regarding their children’s care and development
• Address staff and parent concerns professionally
• Monitor budgets, supplies, and facility needs

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or center management 
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Very strong organization skills
• Passion for working with children and supporting families
• Ability to lead a team with professionalism, compassion, and accountability
• Required background checks, clearances, and certifications as applicable
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children or associates degree with 3 years of experience with children.
