Travel RN – Stepdown/Trauma | Nights

Location: West Virginia
Unit: 8 North East (8NE) – Stepdown/Trauma
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

• Minimum experience in Stepdown/Med-Surg or Trauma nursing
• BLS required
• Strong assessment and telemetry/EKG interpretation skills
• Experience titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Labetalol, Amiodarone, etc.)
• Comfortable caring for trauma, respiratory, and complex medical-surgical patients

Unit Highlights:

• 24-bed Stepdown unit in a Level I Trauma Center
• 1:3 ratio for Stepdown patients
• Specializes in brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, trauma, respiratory patients, complex wounds, and post-surgical care
• Telemetry monitoring throughout the unit
• No call required
• Floating on a rotational basis
• Royal blue scrubs

Submission Requirements:

• Driver's license showing residence more than 50 miles from the facility
• Can only be submitted to one WVU position at a time
• Previous WVU permanent staff must be separated for 2 years
• Previous travelers who worked a full year must also be away for 2 years
• Unexpired driver's license required with submission

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Stepdown/Trauma RNs looking to work in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center with a strong focus on neurological, respiratory, and complex surgical patients.
