About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery / Postpartum Charge Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: July 15, 2026

Location: Dickson, Tennessee

Schedule: Full-time, 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays. Floating to other units as needed based on census.

Highlights:

• Leadership opportunity requiring charge nurse experience in a 9-bed LDRP, 1-bed OBED, and 4-bed Level II NICU unit with 1 OR suite
• Comprehensive patient care including active labor (1:1), inductions, C-sections, couplet care (1:3), and NICU intermediate care (1:3)
• Work with a highly experienced team including six seasoned RNs with approximately 30 years of experience each, plus additional staff with 7-10 years tenure
• Dual documentation systems: Meditech and CPN Central monitoring with modern equipment including IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, and PCA pumps
• Joint Commission certified facility with Stroke Center, Level II Trauma, and Level II NICU designations
• Excellent opportunity to gain or expand experience across labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care in an LDRP model

Requirements:

• Charge nurse experience required
• Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover mothers as well as receive and transition newborns with comprehensive assessment skills
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring, inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil), and procedures including C-sections, circumcisions, intrauterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
• BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training certifications required
• Willingness to adhere to unit dress code requirements per infant security policy
