Facilities Associate

We are seeking a reliable and skilled maintenance worker to join our facility service and property management team. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of 25 to 30 residential and/or commercial properties. This role requires a proactive individual with a broad skill set in building maintenance, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service to our tenants and property owners. Basic Function The Facilities Associate is responsible as a member of the Facility Services Team to assist in the maintenance of the organization’s physical sites and promote the safety and well‑being of all individuals and team members. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of properties to identify and resolve issues. Complete general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and appliance maintenance. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residences and offices. Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize future repairs and ensure properties remain in excellent condition. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks. Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or large‑scale projects. Ensure all properties comply with safety and building codes. Perform building, vehicle, grounds and other necessary work projects as assigned, to maintain Friendship Community properties. Assist with property turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and minor renovations between residents. Maintain security practices related to property access. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Provide emergency on‑call support as needed (rotating schedule). Demonstrate a respectful, positive attitude that promotes service excellence to individuals, fellow team members, families and or the general public. Completes annual training as required by regulators and encouraged to train on maintenance skills. Sick time: Accrues per pay period, can be used immediately. Retirement: Team member is able to contribute to 403(b) retirement plan after 30 days. Holiday pay (full‑time status): 7 paid holidays—New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday (or Good Friday for team members who do not normally work weekends), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
