Senior Accountant

High Country Search Group is partnering with a growing organization in the Ontario, CA area to add a Senior Accountant to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of general accounting, tax, reporting, and project-based work rather than being limited to one area. The team is looking for someone who can step in, learn the organization and systems, and become a dependable resource across the accounting function. What You'll Be Doing: Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Perform flux and variance analysis and review financial results Assist with revenue and customer billing review Oversee sales tax filings and related compliance activities Work within Avalara and research tax notices as needed Coordinate federal and state income tax matters Manage business licenses, registrations, filing deadlines, and renewals across multiple jurisdictions Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial reporting Assist with due diligence and other ad hoc accounting projects Help maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 3+ years of relevant accounting experience Experience within public accounting, SaaS, technology, or a related environment preferred Public accounting tax experience is highly valued Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations Exposure to sales tax and tax compliance CPA strongly preferred, but not required Experience with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Avalara, and/or Power BI is a plus Self-starter who is comfortable learning new systems and taking ownership Compensation & Schedule: Base Salary: $78,600 - $98,200 + Bonus Hybrid schedule - 3 days on-site/week #J-18808-Ljbffr
