Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal Job Goal: To work with and assist the Principal with all secretarial/financial
duties in order to have a smooth running and efficient office. Assist students in any way
possible to make their day special and help parents with any problems or situations they
may have. Greet any visitors to the building with a smile and helpful attitude. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for responding to telephone/intercom calls in a pleasant and efficient manner.
2. Receive visitors and provide assistance or information concerning policies, procedures and other details.
3. Responsible for control of medication for students and keeping updated medical files on students. Responsible for basic first aid care for students sick or injured; taking temperatures, calling parents, filling out accident reports, etc.
4. Orders, processes and maintains office materials and equipment.
5. Serves as confidential secretary to the Principal. Assist with monitoring the school budget. Responsible for keeping accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
6. Operates and maintains standard office equipment.
7. Building financial secretary of the activity account and general funds. Assist the faculty with ordering general supplies, curriculum materials and textbooks.
8. Completes and updates handbooks, inventories and reports.
9. Schedules use of the building for after school meetings in the cafeteria.
10. Reconcile end of month time sheets with SubFinder.
11. Prepare and send out school newsletter to patrons, board members and central office administrators.
12. Accept free/reduced lunch applications and prepare for Principal's signature.
13. Other duties may be assigned.
Length of Contract : One hundred ninety-five (195) contract days.
Salary commensurate with experience on the negotiated agreement of the Support
Employees of Edmond (SEE).
Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building
Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the
negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of the school office.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
