Warehouse Receiving Clerk

Oversees the Receiving Clerks and Material Handlers - Receiving, the unloading and loading of trucks, ensures all material movements are direct to location for use. Responsible for put-away staging area housekeeping, performs other warehouse duties to support success of perpetual inventory, 5S and all safety policies by following established operating procedures.

Essential Functions Handles day to day concerns from incoming trucks and put-away staging area. Participates in quarterly team members reviews and evaluations. Participates in any disciplinary actions with Receiving Clerks and Material Handler-Receiving. Supports all inspections for incoming trucks for accuracy, quantity and quality, follows up on documentation of damage, and reports freight claims with Purchasing. Works with accounting and purchasing to resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices and quantities received. Ensures Warehouse is receiving the correct product/quantities and putting away parts to locations in a timely manner. Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to Purchasing, Inventory, and Manufacturing Managers as necessary. Complete inventory transactions to receive and issue inventory as required. Properly identify and locate all parts according to established procedures. Ensure compliance with all Divisional and Plant Safety policies and PPE procedures. Ensure compliance with all Divisional and Plant requirements concerning assigned equipment.

Competencies The ability to operate a forklift safely is required. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; Microsoft suite, ERP systems, and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.

Pay Range Hourly Wage: $23 - $25 Freedman by Lippert determines pay based on several factors, including but not limited to the position being offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Physical Demands While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active while performing this job the employee is regularly standing walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines. The employee will work in outside-weather conditions in all seasons. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. In addition, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided. Additional items required but not included are steel-toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays may be mandatory.

Required Education and Experience High school degree or GED. LCI issued Forklift license required. 1 to 3 years of training experience.

Preferred Education and Experience 1 or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
