Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients’ experiences and needs, ensuring a tailored approach to therapy.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building strategies and evidence-based practices.

  • Utilize therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.

  • Deliver effective one-on-one sessions to help patients process trauma and develop healthy coping mechanisms, as well as facilitate group therapy to foster community support.

  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive care and coordinate treatment plans tailored to each patient’s journey.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention when necessary, supporting patients during trauma-related emergencies with a calm, composed approach.

  • Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical requirements to ensure confidentiality.

  • Engage in continuous professional development, case consultations, and team meetings to stay abreast of advancements in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily consist of trauma survivors dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Possession of current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience focused on trauma-informed practice is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
