Marketing Coordinator

Position Description The Marketing Coordinator supports McGough’s Industrial sector by helping drive new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships through the development of proposals, presentations, qualifications, and strategic marketing initiatives. Working closely with business development and project teams, this role contributes to the pursuit of complex industrial projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience in A/E/C or professional services marketing Familiarity with CRM systems and database management Understanding of proposal development processes and brand standards Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to ask effective questions, draft content, and improve efficiency Responsibilities And Tasks Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organization, and time‑management skills Strong collaboration and communication skills Thorough and detail‑oriented Ability to prioritize and multi‑task within time constraints Self‑starter and motivated with minimal supervision Hybrid office attendance Occasional travel to other offices and/or job site locations Pursuit Execution – 50% of Time Assist in developing proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations Organize and track deadlines for assigned pursuits Gather and update project data, resumes, and visual assets Proofread and format materials for consistency and accuracy Business Development Support – 40% of Time Support BD efforts by preparing materials for client meetings and events Lead and facilitate regular meetings to keep pursuit efforts on track and aligned with company and business development strategies Assist with conference and tradeshow planning, including marketing materials and collateral Conduct research to support prepositioning and client intelligence gathering Maintain and update CRM (Salesforce), OpenAsset, and shared marketing resources Collaboration and Teamwork – 10% of Time Provide support to the Industrial Marketing Manager and Industrial marketing team Provide additional support to other marketing teams as needed Work collaboratively with marketing, BD, and communications teams to ensure alignment Work closely with Communications team on development of collateral needed for Business Development and Pursuit‑related needs Participate in professional development and team improvement efforts Other Duties As Assigned Actively contribute as a member of the Marketing Team by collaborating on shared goals, aligning efforts across departments, and supporting team priorities Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and suppliers Attend and engage in internal project management and cross‑functional company meetings Participate in relevant training opportunities for personal and professional growth, including leadership development and human resources topics Support and participate in company-sponsored events and initiatives that promote team engagement and culture Follow and reinforce standards of work, ensuring consistency and accountability Emphasize relationship‑building as a core part of the role, both internally and externally Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Competencies Collaboration: Partners effectively across departments to deliver cohesive and consistent materials Communication: Clearly conveys complex information in written and visual forms to various audiences Attention to Detail: Ensures brand accuracy, grammatical precision, and formatting consistency Adaptability: Manages shifting priorities and deadlines calmly and effectively Creative Thinking: Develops innovative approaches to presentation and storytelling Organization & Time Management: Prioritizes tasks, maintains tracking systems, and meets deadlines Client Focus: Understands internal and external client needs and tailors deliverables accordingly Measurements of Success Timeliness: 100% of deliverables submitted on or before deadlines Proposal Accuracy: Upkeep of Assets: Customization: ≥5% custom content developed with each submission Self Sufficiency: Ability to independently manage the full pursuit cycle with limited supervisor support Process Improvement: Contribution of 1‑2 implemented suggestions that improve team workflow Leveraging AI: Weekly reliance on AI to bring process efficiencies and reduce manual tasks Behaviors of Success Consistently delivers accurate, on‑time, and brand‑aligned materials Demonstrates ownership of pursuits and manages deadlines with minimal supervision Proactively identifies and implements improvements to enhance team efficiency Leverages AI tools to streamline work and reduce manual effort Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively with BD and sector teams Customizes content to client needs while maintaining professional standards Builds trust through reliability, responsiveness, and accountability Physical Requirements The physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction job sites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures. Compensation & Benefits In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $60,000-75,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer. Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
