Material Handler

Quanex is looking for a Material Handler to join our 3rd Shift team located in Statesville, NC. The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, picking and distributing material and products within establishment. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00 pm – 6:30 am Hourly Rate is $19.75 to $22.50 + $1.50/hour for shift premium for 3rd shift. We Offer You! Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards Certified to drive material handling equipment. (High Reach forklift expertise a must) Transports stored items within the warehouse. What You Bring: High School Diploma or GED and/or production experience in a manufacturing environment required. Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse role High reach forklift experience is required Previous experience with WMS system is desired Experience with barcode reading guns and system postings/system records Experience in extrusion or process manufacturing is a plus High School or GED.
